The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) was a U.S. federal agency to undertake, promote and institutionalize aeronautical research. In October 1958, the agency was dissolved and its assets and personnel transferred to the newly created National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). An iconic work created in the early days of NACA was the "Bibliography of Aeronautics” edited by Paul Brockett. The “Bibliography of Aeronautics” covers the aeronautical literature published from 1863 to 1932. Books and articles of all nations have been included in the languages in which these publications originally appeared. The arrangement is dictionary form with author and subject entry and one alphabetical arrangement.
